Installation instructions for The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands 1.2 can be found in the booklet that accompanies your copy of the CD-ROM.

The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands 1.2 will work best on the Mac under the following conditions:

30 MB of available RAM or more
All other applications are off
Virtual Memory is off
File sharing is off
All extensions other than QuickTime are off

The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands can now receive updates directly from the internet.

To ensure that you have the latest updates, make sure you have an active internet connection. Then, from within the application, select Web Update from the Toolbar in the top left corner. Next, click on Synchronize. Updates, if any, will be downloaded automatically and placed in your System folder:Preferences:cache-cache:The Wetlands. The next time you run The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands 1.2, the updates will be incorporated at runtime.

Running the program in OS X
The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands 1.2 will run in OS X in the Classic environment. Some users may occasionally experience a memory error associated with sound files when first running the program. Quitting out of the program and re-running it will usually correct this problem.

The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands AT 1.2 was designed to run at a screen resolution of 640 x 480. To use the program full-screen, you may need to change the screen resolution. With OS 9 or earlier, this can be done in the "Monitors" control panel. In OS X, go to the "Displays" control in the System Preferences, which can be found in the Apple menu.
